Medical (chemical) peels are designed to control exfoliation of the epidermis and deeper layers of the skin with the application of chemical substances. The aim is to eliminate imperfections such as scars, wrinkles, irregular skin pigmentation, age spots, seborrhoea or enlarged pores. An appropriately selected mix of chemical substances at a specific concentration penetrates the skin to the required depth, helping to improve and regulate skin function. The result is regeneration and increased density of the skin, which looks younger, fresher and smoother. Peels, applied in the right proportions and concentrations, are an excellent preventative anti-aging treatment for the skin.
